Cellulose Depolymerization with LPMO‐inspired Cu Complexes

چکیده
Bis(benzimidazole)amine-based copper complexes, with structural similarities to the active sites of Lytic Polysaccharide Monooxygenase enzymes (LPMOs), were tested for oxidative degradation cellulose. Spectroscopic characterization as well authentication one them, confirm a tetragonal coordination environment 3 nitrogen donors, thioether in axial positions. Aqueous cellulose was achieved CuII complexes and H2O2 oxidant through putative cupric-hydroperoxo intermediates. Conversion up 67 % yield soluble oligosaccharide derivatives at ambient temperature pressure. The products analyzed aqueous solution by HPLC-MS, confirming depolymerization under conditions, an analogous fashion LPMOs.

Mechanocatalytic Depolymerization of Cellulose With Perfluorinated Sulfonic Acid Ionomers
Here, we investigated that the mechanocatalytic depolymerization of cellulose in the presence of Aquivion, a sulfonated perfluorinated ionomer. Under optimized conditions, yields of water soluble sugars of 90-97% were obtained using Aquivion PW98 and PW66, respectively, as a solid acid catalyst. The detailed characterization of the water soluble fraction revealed (i) the selective formation of ...
متن کاملSubmitted to Cellulose About the Depolymerization of Cellulose Propionate to Segments with low DP
Low molecular weight cellulose propionate (CP) segments were synthesized by HBr hydrolysis under esterification conditions using either a commercial CP with residual hydroxyl groups (DSOH ca. 0.4) or a tripropionate (CTP). The hydrolysis using CTP yielded segments having a minimum DP of as low as 7, whereas the hydrolysis of the commercial CP resulted in segments having a minimum DP of 50. Diff...
متن کاملCellobiose dehydrogenase, an active agent in cellulose depolymerization.
The ability of cellobiose dehydrogenase purified from Phanerochaete chrysosporium to modify a Douglas fir kraft pulp was assessed. Although the addition of cellobiose dehydrogenase alone had little effect, supplementation with cellobiose and iron resulted in a substantial reduction in the degree of polymerization of the pulp cellulose. When the reaction was monitored over time, a progressive de...
متن کاملCellulose membrane as a biomaterial: from hydrolysis to depolymerization with electron beam
The cellulose membrane (CM) is a major component of plant cell walls and is both a chemically and mechanically stable synthetic polymer with many applications for use in tissue engineering. However, due to its dissolution difficulty, there are no known physiologically relevant or pharmaceutically clinical applications for this polymer. Thus, research is underway on controlled and adjusted forms...
متن کاملEnhanced Cellulose Degradation Using Cellulase-Nanosphere Complexes
Enzyme catalyzed conversion of plant biomass to sugars is an inherently inefficient process, and one of the major factors limiting economical biofuel production. This is due to the physical barrier presented by polymers in plant cell walls, including semi-crystalline cellulose, to soluble enzyme accessibility. In contrast to the enzymes currently used in industry, bacterial cellulosomes organiz...
